Hello and welcome!

My name is Henrietta (Henri for short), and I’m a dedicated and compassionate counsellor based in Summertown, Oxford, and working remotely across the UK.

As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), holding advanced qualifications in psychodynamic practice (Dip Psych (Oxon), Cert Psych), I am passionate about providing a safe, deeply supportive space.  Whether you are navigating a late-in-life ADHD discovery, managing burnout, or looking to understand your unique executive functioning, my practice is entirely tailored to your individual needs.

While I support clients across a broad range of challenges, my specialist focus is working with neurodivergent adults and young people experiencing distress around food, eating, and body image. This includes navigating binge eating, emotional eating, restrictive patterns, or all-or-nothing eating cycles. Because these challenges rarely exist in isolation, our work together also deeply holds and supports you through the closely related experiences of overwhelm, emotional regulation, anxiety, masking, and burnout.

Together, we’ll explore your experiences with curiosity and compassion, making sense of how your past and present connect. Drawing on my knowledge of Autism, ADHD, anxiety, and eating disorders, I offer insights and practical strategies to support growth, self-acceptance, and positive change.

As a neurodiversity-affirming therapist, I value the beautiful differences that make each person unique. My approach is strengths-based and collaborative.  I don’t aim to fix or cure, but to help you understand yourself more deeply and live in a way that feels more aligned and authentic to you.

I’m LGBTQIA+ affirming and work to provide a safe and supportive space for all identities.

Please note that I do not provide specialist treatment for severe or medically high-risk eating disorders requiring intensive or multidisciplinary support.

What might have brought you here...

Could it be one or more of the following?

  • Your thoughts are constantly racing, making it hard to focus or switch off

  • You feel stuck in cycles of stress, anxiety, and burnout

  • You procrastinate or avoid tasks due to overwhelm or fear of failure

  • You use food, substances, or distractions to cope with emotions

  • You struggle with boundaries, people-pleasing, or perfectionism

  • You feel disconnected, self-critical, or not good enough

  • You have a difficult relationship with food and/or your body

If so, it might help to talk to someone who is both compassionate and non-judgemental about your particular situation.

It is important that you find a therapist that is a good fit for you, if that’s not me, I’ll endeavour to offer you other recommendations..

Nothing binds you except your thoughts;
nothing limits you except your fear;
and nothing controls you except your beliefs
